The client wants to develop safe, natural, organic, edible inks in vibrant colors.
Edible ink is widely used in specialty baking and pastry goods, and there is a great demand for safe, organic, edible inks. Japanese food printing inks and equipment have dominated the edible ink market in Asia for many years. However, due to food safety concerns following the Fukushima nuclear meltdown, consumers and businesses are seeking alternatives.
With the current high demand for a safe product, there is an opening in the market for companies outside of Japan. Technology Reserve’s client wants to position itself in Korea as a local, healthy alternative to imported Japanese edible inks.
The client is looking for either a partnership with an existing organic edible ink maker, or the expertise to develop a recipe and acquire the equipment to produce and market organic edible inks comparable to Japanese products.
An ideal expert partner will have:
- Proven expertise in the production of organic edible inks
- Proven experience developing edible ink recipes
- Ability to work with the client to train their team and bring an approved edible ink to market in Korea.
